Lynn Andrews, age 65, of Pearson Chapel Road, Sparta, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at her residence. A graveside memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 2:00 p.m., at the Culverton Baptist Church Cemetery. Ms. Dawn Brake will officiate her service. Family members will greet friends in the Cemetery.
Sandra Lynn Andrews was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County, daughter of the late Stoy Ray Andrews and the late Sandra McEllhannon McGill. She graduated from John Hancock Academy, class of 1978, where she excelled in Basketball and Soft Ball. She attended Shorter College before returning home to Sparta, where she worked in the Dental practice of Dr. Cambell and acquired the skills to work as a dental assistant. She worked in that profession for many years prior to returning to her childhood love of sports and coaching. She coached girls’ basketball and soft ball at her alma mater, John Hancock. She returned to her dental profession working for Tri County Health. Lynn currently worked as a home personal care provider, extending compassionate care to numerous Hancock County citizens. She was a passionate animal lover rescuing many animals in her home over the years. Lynn possessed a green thumb and loved growing flowers and vegetables. Some of her favorite things to do were travel to the beach and watch Survivor on TV. She cherished family and friends, especially her sons, R.C. and Tucker. In addition to her parents, Lynn is also predeceased by her son Robert Clarence Allison, III and her sister Lea Andrews.
Survivors include her son, Tucker Ray Allison (Devin Griffith) of Cold Spring, KY.; her niece Brittany A. Williams (Marquis) of Harlem, former husband and constant friend, Robert C. Allison Jr. of Sparta, and her lifelong best friend, Annett Blanchard of Ricon.
