Damon Eric Andrews, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on August 5, 1982, in Lubbock, Eric was a beacon of light in the lives of those around him, known for his kind heart and selfless disposition.
Growing up in Lubbock, Eric graduated from Frenship High School in 2000. He furthered his education at Texas Tech University before transferring to Wayland Baptist University, where he proudly completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Management. His career was in the field of Oncology IT and he had recently joined Elliott Health Services in their Radiation Therapy department. Eric's commitment to serving people was not just evident in his work but was a core part of who he was. He listened with his heart and always made time to care deeply for others.
Beyond his accomplishments, Eric carried a quiet strength that made him a steady, resilient presence for everyone who knew him. His generosity flowed effortlessly. He was the first to offer help and always found ways to lift others up. Whether sharing his love of sports or brightening a room with his sharp, playful wit, he had a gift for bringing joy and ease to those around him. His spirit was as selfless as it was warm, leaving a lasting imprint on every life he touched.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Damon and Jill Andrews, of Lubbock; his sister, Tiffany Parsons, and her husband, Joel, and their children, Grayson, Kendie, and Parker, all of Midland; his brother, Austin Andrews of Lubbock; his grandmother, Peggy Andrews, of Lubbock; his uncle Johnny Andrews, and wife Kelly, of Georgetown; his uncle Rick Andrews, and wife Diane, of Lubbock; his uncle Mike Worth, and wife Sharon, of Lubbock; his aunt LaNeil, and husband Jim, of Wichita, Kansas; his great-aunt Sylvia Swinford, of Lubbock; as well as many cousins, second cousins, and other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Troy Andrews and Joyce and Neal Burroughs, as well as his uncle, Lynn Burroughs.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. In celebration of Eric’s life, the family encourages casual attire, reflecting the easygoing spirit he shared with so many.
