Ali DeShea Allpress, 42, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday morning, August 22, 2025. Ali was born on January 22, 1983, in Lubbock, Texas, to Alex Taylor and the late Donna Lynn (Long) Taylor.
She attended Frenship High School, graduating with her senior class in 2001. She attended Lubbock Christian University (LCU) from 2003 to 2005, earning an Associates Degree in Child Development, with aspirations to be an educator.
Ali met Lauren “Kicker” Allpress, the love of her life, and they were married on August 22, 2014, in Idalou, Texas.
She was a homemaker, loved to read and attend music festivals. She enjoyed playing games on her cell phone, loved children, animals and her fur baby, Pandora, an American bulldog and miniature Australian shepherd mix. She was raised in the Church of Christ faith.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Lauren of Lubbock; her father, Alex Taylor of Idalou; a sister, Buffi Combs and husband Shane of Big Sandy, TX; a brother, Mart Taylor of Lubbock; and her maternal grandmother, Wanda Long. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Taylor in 2020; her maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
Visitation for Ali will be from 2:30 PM until 5 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the Oak Crest Suite of Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock. Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, August 25, 2025, in the Girard Cemetery Chapel in Girard, Texas. Burial will follow beside her mother in the Girard Cemetery under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Home in Lubbock.
In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage you to donate in Ali's memory to the Dallas Scottish Rite for Children, 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, TX 75219.
