Obituary published on Legacy.com by Morehart Mortuary - Breckenridge on Feb. 12, 2026.
Wayne Justus, age 81 of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Otis Wayne Justus was born in Greenville, Texas to Otis and Ardella Smith Justus. He grew up in Crosbyton, Texas, graduating from Crosbyton High School in 1963. He went to Texas Tech University, was an active alumni and avid fan of the Red Raiders. He loved attending home football games in Lubbock and this year was able to follow the Raiders to the Big 12 Championship and the CFP Orange Bowl in Miami. He had waited 60 years for that to happen! He married Lynda Browning Bradberry in 2008, who he originally met during his years at Texas Tech. They shared their love for the Red Raiders, dancing, and traveling.

Following a successful career with Proctor and Gamble, Wayne went into partnership in the Bobby V's Sports Gallery Cafe in Arlington, Texas. After selling Bobby V's in 2011, Wayne and Lynda moved to Breckenridge, Texas where Wayne continued his familiar pattern of nonstop work and became very involved in the community. At the time of his death, he was working for OX Manufacturing. Wayne was a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church in Breckenridge, Texas. He was a member of Elks, and previously served as Exalted Ruler of the Breckenridge Lodge, District Vice President, District Deputy, and District Veterans Chair. He was also very active in the local and district State Hoop Shoot contest for the Texas Elks.

Wayne leaves behind many beloved friends and family, including his wife, Lynda Browning Justus; children, Leah Page, Brandi Crank and husband Filmore, Janey Justus, Cassie Justus, Shawna Henry, Paige Darby, Meggan Crow and husband Don; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sue Cornelius, and bother-in-law, Dwayne Cornelius.

Memorials can be made to the Breckenridge Elks Lodge #1480.
