Lynn Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel & Cremation Center - South Jordan on Feb. 27, 2026.
Jerry Lynn Brown, 79, passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born March 21, 1946 to Marval and Ida Brown. Lynn grew up in Grant, Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School. He spent 6 years in the Army Reserves where he received an honorable discharge.

Then he met the love his life, Pam Johnson, in Utah. They were eventually married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 1, 1966. In September of 1968 they had a son, Jeff, then three years later, they had a daughter, Sheila. Lynn loved his wife and children: he was devoted to them, working hard to provide for the needs of the family, working in the heating and cooling field where he worked for Lees Refrigeration, Moore Supply Company, and Standard Restaurant Equipment. He finished his career working for IHC LDS Hospital, IMC and Riverton Hospital, where he retired.

Lynn loved to camp, fish and ride his side by side, all with his family. He had a deep love for music and for many years loved playing his guitar and singing.

Lynn loved his kids and grandkids and he supported them in everything they did. He was always at their events and wouldn't miss. The grandkids meant so much to him and they loved him dearly.

Lynn is survived by his wife Pamela Brown, his daughter Sheila Jakubisin, his son Jeff (Ruth), and his grandchildren: Tazia Brown, Zaiyden Brown, Hayden Brown (Bry), Ryan Brown, Jaxon Brown, Kayla Atkinson, M'lyssa Anderson, and Sami Nuffer (Dee Jay).

He will be missed by family, neighbors, and friends but we know he will always be with us. You are loved and missed already. Thanks for everything. Dad, we love you.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be on Thursday, March 5 from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 – 10:45 am at the mortuary. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
