CLAY, LYNN SHERIDAN, 72

of Louisville passed away unexpectedly at University of Louisville Medical Center on February 3, 2026.

Lynn was a Registered Nurse for 47 years. She spent 32 at University of Louisville Medical Center in Emergency Psychiatric Services, where she served alongside many professionals, especially Sally, Kathy and Andy.

Lynn was known for her dry wit, Saturday night dancing and a good margarita.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Rita C. Sheridan, brother, Mark Sheridan and sister, Ellen Sheridan.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Pat Clay; her sons, Nick Clay and Brian Clay (Sandy); her daughter, Natalie Franklin (David); and her little princess, her granddaughter, Collins Franklin. She is also survived by her brothers, Tom, Tim, Mike and Doug Sheridan.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Avenue at Barret Avenue. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church, 1104 South Sixth Street.

I worked with Lynn in EPS and her dry wit/sense of humor was much appreciated. She was so even keel with patients and provided such a stabilizing presence in such a chaotic atmosphere. She'll be missed and I have a lot of appreciation for what I learned through my observations of her.
