Lynn MacGowan Obituary
It is with great sadness that I announce that Lynn Miller MacGowan, age 74, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 6:14 am EST at the Duke Hospice facility in Durham NC.
Lynn is finally pain free and peaceful after over a year of suffering with all bladder/pancreas/liver disease that was incurable and not operative.
Lynn is now with her God and Savior, and at peace with the Angels in Heaven. God bless Lynn and hold her forever in Heaven.
We have lost a most wonderful person who cared for others and never lost her sense of humor right to the end. She was an especially brilliant advertising/marketing executive for Chrysler's Jeep division and was among the first to break the glass ceiling for women in advertising.
Married to Craig F. MacGowan, an award winning international DGA director/producer, for over 30 years, Lynn helped Craig with many award-winning and innovative documentaries.
She is survived by her husband Craig, sisters Kathleen Miller Seitz, Nancy Miller-Franitza and husband Paul, Terri Miller, and Ellen Brotzman and husband Bruce, as well as a brother Keith Miller and wife Paula, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
As our friends Tony and Janice Smythe, who introduced us said, Lynn was truly "The One" for me. She always will be now and forever.
Thank you all for helping me and Lynn during this medically and personally challenging time, especially family members and Duke University healthcare personnel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lynn Miller MacGowan's name to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
