Ralph Redd Obituary
Ralph is survived by his loving parents, Recca Nelson and Fred Nelson; his daughter, Savannah (Redd) Mitchell, and her husband, Joey, along with their children Ryan and Lillie; and his son, Christian Redd, and his wife, Jillian, along with their children Tucker, Luke, Cannon, Nora, and Ella. He was adored by his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Big Daddy" or "Big Dada," and who will forever treasure the countless memories and lessons he shared.
Ralph is also survived by his brothers, Reggie Redd, Russ Redd, and Jon Redd, and their families. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodley Redd, and his brother, Cameron Redd.
A floating Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the home of Recca and Fred Nelson, 2132 Purnell Rd, Wake Forest, North Carolina. Friends and family are welcome to stop by at their convenience to share stories, laughter, and fellowship. Light refreshments and drinks will be served throughout the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Ralph's name to your local animal shelter or to Saving Grace, a non-profit supporting animals in need: https://savinggracenc.org, honoring his lifelong love of animals.
Ralph will be remembered not only for the love he gave his children and grandchildren, but also for the joy, laughter, and countless memories he created. His legacy of love, humor, and generosity will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
