Martha Beck "Marte" Redd, age 93, of Hanover, died August 14, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1931, in Green Bay, Va.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, John E. Redd. She is survived by her two sons, John E. Redd, Jr. and his wife, Terry and Richard B. Redd and his wife, Sandy; five grandchildren, Bryan (wife, Hozumi), Bobby, Scott (wife, Kendra), Kevin (wife, Erin), and Betsy (husband, Kip Hart); and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Redd spent 40 years working with her husband as self-employed business owners of several Exxon service stations in Hanover and Henrico. She served for several years as a teacher at Fox Hill Preschool in Hanover.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Hanover, at 3 p.m. on August 26th. Private inurnment at Signal Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
