Funeral services celebrating the life of "Joanie" Leann Redd will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00AM at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 1796 Laurel Hill Rd., Leesville (Lacamp) with the Rev. Dustin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Monday from 4-10 PM and will resume on Tuesday morning after 9:00 am until time of services, all in the church.
Ms. Redd, age 36 of Otis was missing since Wednesday, August 6, and was found deceased on Friday evening August 8, near Gardner.
"Joanie" grew up in the Hicks and Slagle area. She loved her family and protected them fiercely. She had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. Joanie also had a strong love for animals and was always known for her rescuing of animals. From dogs, to cats, to even pulling over to help a turtle across the road, she was there. She will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Alfred Blount and her brother, James Lee Blount.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons, Patrick Sean Redd, Jr., of New York and Robert Morris Redd II of New York, her loving mother, Charlene Blount of Boyce, her sister, Amanda Jean (Melvin) of Evans, La., two brothers, Donald James Blount (Mandy) of Hicks and Joseph Lee Blount of Boyce and her companion, Michael W. Mote of Gardner.
"Joanie" is also survived by her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers honored to carry her to her final resting place will be; Joe Blount, James Leatherwood, Melvin Jeane, Freddie Brock, Blake Brock, Patrick Redd, Jr., Robert Redd II, Cody Brock and Michael Mote.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Pineville, Robbie Dauzat, Director.

Joanie was special person. When my house burnt and I had to have surgery she helped me into the house I was staying in . We had some good laughs together . I will cherish those memories . I love you Joanie. May God bless your family . Keep them strong . Live Samantha (Sam)
