In Loving Memory of Lynn B. Paddack
January 8, 1946 – October 15, 2025
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Lynn B. Paddack on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Lynn passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family.
Born on January 8, 1946, in Mount Vernon, New York, Lynn was the eldest daughter of Alfred and Marie (Hopkins) Greco. A proud graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Class of 1963, Lynn's early path was marked by determination and grace. She began her career as a legal secretary at the law office of Richard Ross, where her poise and professionalism quickly made an impression.
Lynn's life changed forever in 1964 when she attended a wedding in Canada and met the love of her life, her future husband, Gene Paddack. It was the beginning of a partnership that would span nearly six decades. They married on May 21, 1967, at St. Ursula's Church in Mount Vernon. After marrying, they moved to Yonkers to begin their life together and started their family. In 1974, they settled in
Mahopac, NY, where they raised their two sons.
Lynn was the heart and soul of her home. Though she worked part-time as a bookkeeper for Hudson Valley Beverage, her true vocation was nurturing her family. She was a gifted cook and baker whose meals brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. Her kitchen was filled with the aromas of delicious homemade dishes and the laughter of those she loved most. Lynn had a way of making every holiday, birthday, and ordinary day feel special.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures-a good book, finishing a challenging puzzle, or sewing something special for her children or grandchildren. Her creativity and warmth stitched through everything she touched.
Family was everything to Lynn. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she poured her heart into raising and supporting them. Whether it was a home-cooked meal, a comforting word, or simply being present, Lynn gave her love freely and unconditionally. Her selflessness was a quiet but powerful force; she had a remarkable gift for putting others before herself, never asking for anything in return.
Lynn's compassion extended beyond people-she had a deep, unwavering love for animals. Her home was always open to furry companions, especially rescues, feral cats, and the smallest or neediest animals. Each one cared for with the same affection and attention she gave to everyone in her life.
Lynn leaves behind a family who adored her: her beloved husband of 58 years, Gene; her sons, Eric and his wife Elizabeth of Hayden, ID, and Brian and his wife Krystina of Yorktown Heights, NY; and her three beloved grandchildren, Liam, Ella, and Benjamin, who brought light to her later years. She is also survived by her dog, Lucy. Lynn was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Pascale, whom she loved dearly.
Lynn will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and lovingly remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she gave to her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lynn's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation, an organization close to their hearts.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 2:00–5:00 PM at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A private cremation will follow.
