Lynn Marie Pelkey (nee Matthews) "Shippy"
She died on September 26, 2022, at age 74. Devoted wife of retired Marine Major Jim Pelkey for 47 years. Mother of Tricia Pelkey (Zeki Gunay) and Benjamin (Theresa) Pelkey. Grandmother of Jack Demir, Pierce Poyraz & Blaze Berk, and Kieran Grey.
Lynn was born and raised in Milwaukee. She graduated from West Division High School and Bryant & Stratton College. Her two children graduated from St. Gregory the Great Grade School, Pius XI High School, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She volunteered in Brownies, Girl Scouts, and festivals and cheered on her children during their various athletics and notable life events. She fully supported and participated in her husband's involvement in Marine Corps activities. She was a die-hard fan of UW sports and the Green Bay Packers.

Together Lynn and her husband enjoyed dining out, farmer's markets, and supporting local artists in Milwaukee and Madison.
