Lynn Slaugh age 94 passed away in Salt Lake City on September 8, 2025.
Lynn Slaugh born March 26, 1931 to Charlie David Slaugh and Rena (Rinska) Postma. Lynn was the fifth of seven boys. Born in Vernal, Uintah, Utah.Lynn Slaugh beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents Charlie David (Rena (Rinska Postma). His brothers Royal Benjamin, Clayton John (Opal Hadlock), Darrel Charles (Berta Marie Elifritz), Dean (Mary June Beaman Durham), Earl (Lorraine Holmes), Neldon Ray (Gwena Lee Boren).
Lynn married the love of his life, Melba Rae Burns, October 8, 1951 in Vernal, Uintah, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, March 3, 1954. They lived most of the time in Vernal, working in the gilsonite mines, and as a general contractor, he worked with most of his brothers in the cement business. Lynn and Melba also lived in and around Garden Grove, Orange County. California. Lynn worked in carpentry, for Various companies.
Lynn and Melba had five children Kerry Lynn (Robert Mike Bullock), Nancy Louise Nelson, Kristine (Casey Mc Neill) David Joseph (Rose Ann Huffman), Cody Burns (Terri Lynn Laman).
Lynn lost the love of his life February 3, 2017, and was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister-in-laws
We would like to thank the Midtown Manor in Salt Lake for the wonderful way in which they have taken such great care of him while he's been ill.
He will have a graveside service Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Moroni, Utah. under the direction of Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant, UT.
