Lynn L. Smith, age 70, of Bloomingdale, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on January 15, 1955, she was the daughter of James and Geneva (Perras) Courtney. Lynn, married Randy Smith on May 9, 1974 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.
Lynn graduated from Saranac Lake High School Class of 1974. She worked for various area business over the years including Scotts Florist, Brighton Mini Market and Deli and was a seamstress, wreath and pillow maker for Moody Farms. Lynn also worked as a bookkeeper for their family business, Randy Smith Contracting for many years. Lynn really enjoyed gardening, wreathing and sewing. She especially enjoyed years of family camping.
Lynn is survived by her husband Randy Smith, one daughter Michelle Banker, two grandchildren Taylor Smith and Jeremy Florence, and three great grandchildren, Colton, Bentley and Leo Exware. She is also survived by her brother and sisters Randy Courtney (Diane Stamm), Jeanette (Brian) Barden, James D. and Timothy Courtney, Alice (Rick) Sofield and Tammy (Frank) Landerway as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Kristie J. Smith and one sister Judy Vercek,
Funeral Arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. At Lynn’s request there will be no calling hours. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
