Lynn Jay Wold, 65, passed away on December 14, 2025, at his home in Fargo, ND. Lynn was born on October 21, 1960, in Breckenridge, MN to Purdon and Gloria (Vaughn) Wold. He graduated in 1979 from Richland High School, Colfax, ND. On February 13, 1988, Lynn married Sara Carlson and for over 22 years they made their home in Abercrombie, ND.
Lynn worked for over 40 years in the meat industry working for meat markets and meat departments in Abercrombie, ND, Breckenridge, MN and Wahpeton, ND where he enjoyed greeting customers sharing his passion for the industry. Lynn had a passion for attending Richland Colts sporting events and especially cheering on son, Josh through many years of baseball and football. Lynn enjoyed shooting pool, darts and trap and playing cards with friends and family. In his younger years as his health allowed, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Abercrombie, ND.
Lynn is survived by his brother, Purdon Wold; sisters, Julie Schumacher and Jodi Wold, ex-wife, Sara Wold, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Purdon and Gloria Wold, brother-in-law, Shane Schumacher, and son, Joshua Wold.
A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Hanson Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo with visitation one hour prior.
May Lynn rest in peace in God’s loving hands, reunited with all those he cherished who preceded him in death. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
