LYNNE GRAFF Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options from Jun. 17 to Jun. 18, 2023.
Lynne E. Graff was born in Chicago on August 24, 1945, and she died peacefully in her home in Chicago on June 15, 2023. She was the daughter of William and Lydia Schmanke and married her high school sweetheart Frank N. Graff Jr. on October 16, 1965. They were married for 49 years at the time of his passing in 2014. They have been survived by their three children: Cindy Elliott (Tom), Kim Sorkin (Adam), and Chris Graff (Tricia) and 10 amazing grandchildren. Though disabled by partial paralysis since 2010, she made great strides toward living a full life where she enjoyed the company of many new friends made at Brookdale Senior Living. There she continued to pursue her favorite joys that included crafting and jewelry making which was not easy given her physical limitations. Watching her manage and succeed through the many challenges she faced was an inspiration to us all. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 18, 2023 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm at Midtown Funeral Home located at 3918 West Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618. She will be laid to eternal rest next to her beloved Frank on Monday in a private burial service at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery. Arrangements by Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options, 773.654.3744, www.midtownfunerals.com.

I remember the first time at Luther South when the office called both Lynne Schmanke and Linda Schmanke to the office because they weren't sure which one of us they wanted to talk to . There we stood looking at each other and the connection of second cousins began . Rest in peace Lynne
