Lynne Marie Hood (Nation) of Edgewood, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on June 1, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, Lynne was known for her loving, caring, kind, strong, faithful, and generous spirit, truly a friend to all who knew her.
A graduate of Wills Point High School, Class of 1983, Lynne furthered her education at Trinity Valley Community College School of Cosmetology, graduating in 1986. She dedicated her professional life to beautifying others as a hairdresser at various salons in Wills Point.
Lynne was blessed with a beautiful voice, which she used to glorify the Lord as a vocal member of the Lights of Grace Musical Group. Her faith and talent brought joy and inspiration to many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Hood; father, Ronnie Nation; mother, Cherri Russell Nation; two sons, Justin Nation (Ksenia) of Austin and Connor Johnson (Victoria) of Edgewood; daughter, Michelle Hood (Thomas), two granddaughters, Roselynne Johnson, and Evelyn Hood; brother, Ronnie Wayne Nation; sisters, Laurie Medelle (Chris) of Edgewood and Tammy Nation; nephews, Jonathan Medelle (Ashleigh), Ethan Medelle, and Josh Coulter (Halley); niece, Cat Cornell (Chris); three great-nephews, Bentley Medelle, Cruze Medelle, Avery Cornell; and great-nieces, Israel Medelle, Liesl Coulter, and Alyssa Cornell. Lynne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lottie and Oscar Russell, and Ralph and Juanita Nation.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Both services will take place at the Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lynne's memory may be made to the ALS Association at https://www.als.org/. Lynne's life and spirit will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and love.
