Thomas Nizza Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home - Wills Point on Jan. 5, 2026.
Thomas Dominick Nizza, 73, passed away on January 3, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Thomas lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and craftsmanship.

Born on April 30, 1952, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Thomas was raised in the community where he would later graduate from Ridgewood High School as part of the Class of 1970. He went on to earn an associate degree from Eastfield College in Texas. At the age of 19, he moved to Texas-a place that would become his lifelong home and where he built a life grounded in family and faith.

Thomas worked as an electrician for EAS in Dallas, where he applied his skills with precision and care. His work was not just a job but a reflection of his commitment to providing for those he loved and contributing meaningfully to his community.

On October 1, 2000, Thomas married Debra Nizza in Wills Point. Their union was one of deep connection and shared values. Together they built a blended family that brought him immense pride and joy.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Debra Nizza; his son Nicholas Nizza; her two daughters that he loved as his own Shea Tomerlin and Rebecca Erwin and her husband Brandon; and his grandchildren Nathanael Tomerlin and his wife Brooklyn, Journie Morgan, Mia Plummer, Annalee Plummer, Caleb Erwin; great-granddaughter Charlotte Tomerlin. Thomas also leaves behind his brothers Phil Nizza and wife Geri, John Nizza, and Chris Nizza.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick Nicholas Nizza and Mary Elizabeth Heffernan Nizza.

A man of deep Christian faith, Thomas was a dedicated member of Kingdom Hill Church in Wills Point. His spiritual life was central to who he was-faith-filled and selfless in both word and deed. He played lead guitar on the praise team there. His guitar was his weapon of worship.

Outside of work and worship, Thomas found joy in music and woodworking. Whether crafting something with his hands or enjoying a favorite song, these passions reflected his creative spirit and attention to detail, building his home with his own hands with help from his son, Nick.

Thomas loved deeply and hard. When needed he would call out those he loved, teaching less is more and always reminded those he cared for to slow down.

May the memory of Thomas Dominick Nizza bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral Service will be held on January 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM at Kingdom Hill Church (formerly New Frontier Cowboy Church) 24385 Interstate 20, Wills Point.
