Lynne D. Leaf, born on January 29, 1947, in Jennings, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on September 9, 2025, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina. She was 78 years old.
Lynne's remarkable journey through life was marked by her profound impact on the world of business and her deep appreciation for arts and culture. She obtained both her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing and her MBA from the University of South Florida. Her career was defined by leadership and innovation, with roles including Director at Writers Inc. in Oakland, CA, and Omni Systems in Vienna, VA. Lynne also served as a Consultant with KSJ Consulting in Falls Church, VA, and offered her expertise as an Independent Consultant with Taproot in San Francisco, CA, and Integrated Software Support Services in Washington, DC.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lynne was a true Citizen of the World. Her travels took her to Japan, France, and numerous places in between, where she embraced diverse cultures and new experiences. A lover of the arts, she found joy in photography and the vibrant community at The Art Center of Asheville.
Lynne's contributions extended into her community involvement. She was an active participant in the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, served on the Board of Trustees with the Business Arts Council, and was a columnist for the San Francisco Business Times. Her dedication to fostering connections and supporting cultural initiatives was evident through her involvement with Women in Technology, Executive Biz, and the Cultural Development Corp/Flashpoint.
In her youth, Lynne graced the stage as a beauty pageant contestant, winning titles such as Miss Jennings and Miss LSU, showcasing her grace and charm.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Billy Mack and Willie B Duncan, her husband Jim Green, and her cherished Yorkie, Watson. Lynne is survived by her devoted life partner, Lewis Kiesler, her two brothers, Bill Duncan and his wife Lacey, and Paul Duncan and his wife Janet.
A celebration of Lynne's life will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Church Street Funeral & Cremation. Her legacy of love, kindness, and cultural appreciation will continue to inspire all who knew her.
