Lynne Dianne (Moulton) Lynn, age 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 25, 2025, in
Hendersonville, North Carolina.
Born in Concord, New Hampshire in 1946 to Austin David and Earline Janette (née Dearborn) Moulton, Lynne grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, with her younger sister Karen. Their father worked as an engineer at White Sands Missile Range, but it was her parents' love for the open road that defined her childhood. Before she graduated high school, the family had motored across nearly every corner of the continental United States in their mobile home-adventures that surely sparked Lynne's lifelong love of travel and discovery.
A gifted and ambitious student, Lynne graduated from high school at 15, earned a degree in journalism from New Mexico State University, and pursued graduate studies in film production. She was especially proud of her early career as a news producer at the NBC affiliate in Dallas-a role she cherished and recalled with fondness..
In 1978, Lynne married the love of her life, Wayne Reed Lynn, in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning a 47-year journey of partnership, laughter, and adventure. They relocated to Tampa in 1981, which quickly became their true home base as they raised two daughters, Kathryn and Kristin, and built a circle of friends who became family. Along the way, their lives were also enriched by time in Boston, Massachusetts; Basking Ridge, New Jersey; and mountain escapes in Show Low, Arizona, and
Hendersonville, North Carolina. Wherever they landed, Lynne filled their homes with warmth, creativity, and more than a few decorating projects.
While Lynne's professional talents included graphic design and marketing for Wayne's life insurance company, as well as ongoing independent design contracts, her artistry shone brightest in the everyday expressions of love she shared with others. To receive a gift from Lynne was to receive a masterpiece: meticulously wrapped in carefully chosen paper, tied with ribbons just so, and topped with one of her custom-illustrated cards-often reflecting her keen eye for the recipient's passions and joys. She was the go-to designer of party invitations, event displays, and creative projects, always adding a signature touch that turned ordinary moments into something special. Her creativity was matched by her humor, warmth, and easy approachability.
Above all, Lynne loved her family deeply. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne; her sister, Karen Lee Dodson (Rob) of Laguna Hills, CA; her daughters, Kathryn Lynn Vorkapich (Marc) of Greensboro, GA, and Kristin Lynn Reno (David) of Tampa, FL; and five beloved grandchildren: Chandon, Palmer, and Saylor Vorkapich, and Elise and Weston Reno. She also leaves behind a beloved network of family and dear friends who will carry her memory forward with affection.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tampa, Florida, where stories of Lynne's wit, artistry, and generosity will undoubtedly be shared with a mix of both joy and tears.
As her favorite artist Elvis sang, "Take my hand, take my whole life too, for I can't help falling in love with you." Those who knew and loved Lynne will forever carry her imprint on their hearts.
