He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce.
Born January 27, 1931, Charlie was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and after service in the Air Force, received a degree from The University of Louisville.
Charlie obtained a pilot's license and he and Joyce spent many hours flying to see friends and traveling across America. He also spent many years with the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of the Quiet Birdman.
Charlie often expressed that his time as the Air Boss for Thunder Over Louisville brought him and Joyce their greatest joy.
He is survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 10th from 11:00am – 1:00pm, with his funeral service at 1:00pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
