It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Lynne Ann Villella on June 18, 2025, at the age of 81. Lynne was born on October 15, 1943 in New York, N.Y., to Dante and Rose Gavoli.
Lynne was a dedicated mother, grandmother, wife and friend who could always be counted on in times of need. She was the bedrock of our family, her quiet strength and unconditional love an ever-present source of support and encouragement. Lynne had a wonderful, self-deprecating sense of humor and the ability to make a lifelong friend out of anyone, at any time, anywhere.
She adored spending time with her family and worked diligently to spoil her grandchildren rotten. Visits with grandma were always an exciting mix of fun outings, board games, great food and lots and lots of huggie bears. A die-hard FSU fan, Lynne loved nothing more than getting decked out in her Seminole gear and cheering on her favorite team surrounded by friends and family-even those who were (gasp) Hurricane fans. Whether she was reading, shopping, or decorating for the holidays, Lynne did everything with gusto and a quirky style that was quintessentially her own. She was a vibrant, compassionate woman whose presence lit up the lives of all of us who knew and loved her, and our worlds will now be dimmer with her loss.
Lynne is preceded by her mother and father, Dante and Rose Gavoli; brother, Evo Gavoli; and husband, Ron Villella.
She is survived by her three children: Todd Villella, Jason Villella, and Courtney (Villella) Valdes; her five grandchildren: Sarah Villella, Emily Villella, Luna Villella, Sebastian Valdes and Olivia Valdes; and her beloved pup, Leonardo.
The family will be receiving guests for a visitation at Bevis Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm. Lynne will be laid to rest with her late husband at MeadowWood Memorial Park the following morning with a graveside committal service to be held at 10:00am.
Breanna Green of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the family with their arrangements.
