We are heartbroken to share that Lynnea Parker Rodriguez passed away unexpectedly on August 22nd, 2025 at 55 years old. She is survived by her husband, First Sergeant Joel Rodriguez, U.S. Army (Ret.), and her sons Dustin and Trenton Parker, each of whom she loved more than life itself.
Lynnea was born on March 18th, 1970 to Lana and Art Magnuson in St Paul, Minnesota, where she grew up surrounded by a loving family and friends, including her best friend Michelle Tell and her cousin Sarah Stamatakos. Lynnea's mother, Lana, passed away when Lynnea was 10 years old, a tragic event that shaped Lynnea's upbringing. She later moved to San Diego, California with her father Art and stepmother Chanel Kotewa, where she formed many amazing friendships that have lasted to this day, and where she met her ex husband, Jim Parker, with whom she had Dustin and Trenton.
Lynnea eventually relocated with Dustin and Trenton to
College Station, Texas, where she began a decorated 23-year career as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker. She quickly became one of the most respected and successful realtors in town, thanks to her genuine and unwavering passion for helping her clients through the often stressful real estate process, especially first-time home buyers. Anyone who worked with Lynnea knew she would always go the extra mile and always do what was right.
Lynnea met her husband, Joel Rodriguez, through the real estate world. They shared a passion for the industry, building a successful rental property business together. Lynnea and Joel had an incredibly loving relationship and took care of each other very well. They were married on February 29th, 2016, and spent every moment they could together, including having lunch together every day. They were not just partners and lovers, but also best friends.
Anyone who knew Lynnea knew that her sons Dustin and Trenton were her world. She raised them with a superhuman level of compassion and commitment and was so very proud of the men they've become. Lynnea never missed a beat in making sure that the boys had everything they needed and that they always felt deeply loved. The trio had countless adventures together including traveling to over 15 countries. They were each other's rocks, supporting one another through tough times.
Lynnea was preceded in death less than two years ago by both her stepmother Chanel and her father Art. Those who knew both Art and Lynnea could tell you that something they had in common was that they were both incredibly kind. However, to say Lynnea was incredibly kind and loving simply does not do her justice. Lynnea's love was truly one of a kind. Family and friends across her entire life can all attest to how pure, how selfless, how positive, how nonjudgmental she was. She gave consistently and without a second thought, solely because she wanted to and because she loved people, without ever expecting anything in return.
Lynnea was a true gift to all of us. She will be sorely missed every day.
