M.C Whitlock transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Tuesday morning, January 3rd, 2023 at his home in Jackson, Mississippi with his loving wife beside him.
M.C. Whitlock was born on April 7th, 1932 in Humphrey County, Mississippi, the son of Tom Whitlock and Mary Whitlock. Mr. Whitlock was a retired brick mason, he also served in the United States Army, Infantry Division Korean War from September 1st, 1953 - June 30th, 1955 with an Honorable Discharge.
M.C. Whitlock was known and loved by a wide circle of friends and family who valued his intellect, his honesty, his imagination, his hard working ethics, his compassion, his openness and tolerance, his sense of humor, and unfailing loyalty. He is preceded in death by his parents the late Tom Whitlock and Mary Whitlock; a son Melvin Curtis Whitlock; sisters Marie Green, Ruth Davis and Betty Whitlock. M.C. Is survived by his loving wife Mildred Whitlock and son, D'marcus Whitlock (Ashley). Other surviving children are: Valenthia Bradley (William Bradley, IV), Debbie Whitlock, Joyce Whitlock-Patterson (Jerald), Sandra Moses, James Whitlock, Marvin Whitlock, Tyrel Shorts Sr. (Nichole), Sister Evelyn Washington of Jackson, Mississippi, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and life long friends.
Visitation Hours will be held Friday 1/13/23 from 1-7 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 1/14/23 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Lake Church located on 223 Old Jackson Rd. Madison, MS 39110 and proceed to Autumn Woods Cemetery located on 4000 W. Northside dr. Jackson, MS 39209
