M. Grantt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home on Dec. 16, 2025.
Margaret Louise Grantt, 80, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at her residence following a brief illness.

Louise was born on April 6, 1945, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (née Eaken) Hoffman. She was raised in Chambersburg, where in 1963 she graduated from Chambersburg High School. In 1971, Louise relocated to Naples, Florida, a community she proudly called home and in 1988 after her marriage she moved to Bonita Springs, FL.

After moving to Southwest Florida, Louise dedicated many years of service as a church secretary. She worked faithfully at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Naples until 2010, where she was known for her kindness, organization, and welcoming spirit. She then continued her ministry of service at Hope Lutheran Church in Bonita Springs, where she worked for the next ten years before retiring in 2020.

On August 20, 1988, Louise married the love of her life, Alex P. Grantt. Together, they shared 37 years of marriage filled with devotion, companionship, and love. In her spare time, Louise found joy in sewing and needlepointing, working on word search and jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Alex P. Grantt of Bonita Springs, Florida; her brother, Joseph Ray Hoffman and his wife, Carolyn, of Dawson, Alabama; her sister, Marie Hoffman of Charleston, West Virginia; eight nieces and nephews; and thirteen grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service celebrating Louise's life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bay Presbyterian Church, 26911 S. Bay Drive, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Louise's name be made to the Place of Hope an orphanage in Haiti that was dear to Louise's heart. Please send your donation C/O Bay Presbyterian Church 26911 S. Bay Drive, Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
