Mabel Beebe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lee-Ramsay - Gladwin Chapel on Jul. 7, 2024.
Mabel E. Beebe, a beacon of loving gentleness and thoughtful kindness, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, at Horizon of Gladwin. Born on April 9, 1934, in Gladwin, she was the cherished daughter of the late Harvey and Winnie (Foor) Klein. Mabel's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and service to others.
Mabel's journey began in the heart of Gladwin where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family. She attended Gladwin High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and graduated with the class that would always remember her sweet disposition. Her education laid the groundwork for her future dedication to helping others, a trait that would become the hallmark of her life.
On October 14, 1952, Mabel married the love of her life, Burke A. Beebe, in a ceremony filled with joy and hope. Their union was blessed with two children, Lloyd B. Beebe and Darlynn Douglas, who were the center of Mabel's world. She was a devoted wife and mother, creating a home that was a haven of love and support. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers in her yard. Burke preceded her in death in January of 2000.
Mabel's professional life was marked by her role as a Title One Aid for 13 years at the Gladwin Area Schools. She dedicated herself to the betterment of children's lives, offering support and encouragement to those who needed it most. Her commitment to education reflected her belief in the potential of every child. Following her time at the schools, Mabel served as a volunteer with the Family Independence Agency (FIA) for 11 years, where she extended her caring reach into the broader community.
Beyond her professional and volunteer work, Mabel's life was rich with interests that spoke to her nurturing spirit. Her greatest joy was found in the time she spent with her family. She was a cornerstone of strength and love for her son, Lloyd B. (Kim) Beebe, her daughter, Darlynn (Lynn) Douglas, and her cherished grandchildren, Lloyd, Michael, Greg, Lauren, Laura, Ryan Heather and Joel and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings Esther, Opal Bruner, Lloyd Klein, Orlay Klein, Alvin Klein, Virgil Klein, and Clifford Klein, with whom she now rests in peace.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 13, 2024 at 1 pm from the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-GLADWIN CHAPEL with burial in McClure Cemetery. Family will greet friends and relatives from 10 am Saturday until time of services.
