Mabel Sparrow Knight

Mabel Sparrow Knight was born in Point Peasant, Louisiana on July 18, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Hazel Mitchell Sparrow and Reggie Sparrow Sr. Mabel graduated from Iberville High School in 1961.
At an early age, she accepted Christ into her life and baptized by the late Rev. A.L. Davis at Point Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a native of Point Pleasant, Louisiana and resident of White Castle, Louisiana.
Mabel united in holy matrimony to Hellion Knight Sr. on May 23, 1964, and to this union four children were born: Kim, Hellion Jr., Pamela, and Kipp.
Mabel devoted her life to being a foster mom and a daycare owner for the local high school teachers. She dedicated herself to extending humanity and good will to all that crossed her path. Mabel was extremely considerate, generous, welcoming, loving, caring and never failed to offer assistance or guidance to those who sought understanding. She was adored by everyone she ever encountered.
Mabel leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Kim (Paula) Knight, Hellion (LaQueta) Knight Jr, Pamela (Nathan) Allen, and Kipp Knight; two foster children who she reared D'Quay (Kaysha) Johnson and D'Naya (Norman) Baham; four sisters, Mildred Trim, Hazel Sparrow, Nancy Kelly, Berlyn (Brent) Hughes; two brothers, Thomas Sparrow Sr. and Reggie (Tina) Sparrow Jr.; ten grandchildren Hellion (Amethyst) Knight, Kayla Allen, Kendall Knight, Nathan Allen, Krystal (Darren) Demby, Kaleb Knight Sr., Natalie Allen, Jasmine Knight, Kaitlyn Knight, Quinn Thomas; seven great grandchildren Ka'Lyiah Richards, Naomi Marshall, Kaleb Knight Jr., Kenzie Demby, Zoey Wilkson, Autumn Dupas, and Hellion Knight IV and three godchildren Norman Sparrow, Wardell Stewart and Isaac Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hellion Knight Sr, parents Hazel Mitchell Sparrow and Reggie Sparrow Sr, grandson Kipp Knight Jr; brother O'Neal Sparrow; three sisters Lizzie Sparrow, Edna Mae Spears and Loyce Sparrow
