73 year old, Mabel M. Oliver, of DeMotte, passed away October 2, 2023, at her home.
Mabel was born to Willis and Susie (Bailey) Neeley, in Jasper County, Indiana on August 30, 1950. She married Don Oliver in July of 1972, in Wheatfield, Indiana. Mabel worked as a sweeper/janitor for KVSC. She was attended Goodway Baptist Church. Mabel liked to cook and garden. She loved to eat banana popsicles!
Mabel is survived by her loving family: husband: Don Oliver, children: Frank Golab, Donald ‘Duck’ Oliver, siblings: Mildred Lane, Betty (Melvin) Wireman, Bob (Charlotte) Neeley, and many nieces & nephews.
Mabel was preceded in death by her first husband: John Golab, son: John E. Golab, siblings: Irene Neeley, Ronny Neeley, James Neeley, Willard Neeley, Polly Cooper, Lena Prater, and Sally Pigg.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (CST) on Friday, October 6, 2023, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Mabel will take place at the funeral home on Friday, at 1:00 p.m. (CST) at the funeral home with Rev. James Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the DeMotte Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made the family.
