Mabel Lina Pritt Donegia

Mabel Lina Pritt Donegia, 88, a resident of Belington passed from this life Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Broaddus Hospital in Philippi.
Mabel was born Tuesday, June 29, 1937, in Mingo, a daughter of the late Jesse James Pritt and Ora Mae Sharp Pritt. On August 1, 1955, she was married to Charles William Donegia who preceded her in death on May 6, 2010.
Left to cherish Mabel's memory are four children, Charles "Chuck" Benton Donegia of Belington, Deborah Elaine Cooper and husband, Rev. Rick Cooper, of Walkersville, Loretta Jane Walters and husband, Rick, of Grafton, and Kevin Ashford Donegia of Philippi, seventeen grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Miranda, Viola, Laura, Destiny, Wayman Jr., Mabelina, Richard "Bub", Virginia "Jenni", Lisa, Carrie "Sis", Jordan, David, Shawn, Isaac, and Aliza, thirty-four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mabel was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three siblings, Ralph Pritt, Norman Pritt, and Marie Day, two sons, Wayman Ashford Donegia and Timothy William Donegia, and two grandchildren, Ricky Aaron Cooper and Jessica "Jessi" Lee Donegia.
Mabel attended the one room school at Mingo and was a home maker. She always had a smile on her face when you walked in the door. It didn't matter if you were family or not; she would welcome you into her home. The last thing she would say when you were leaving is "When are you coming back to see me?" She especially loved it when the children came through the door. Her face would light up, and she would greet each and every one of them. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 11am until 1pm, the funeral hour. Rev. Rick Cooper will officiate, and interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens.
