Mable Marie Conley, 58, of Marion, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Mable was born in Marion, NC on December 11, 1964, to the late William J. Conley and Willie Louise Jackson Conley. While growing up, Mable was a very active member of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church. She attended Livingstones Church until her passing. Mable was a Dallas Cowboys fan who enjoyed playing cards, attending birthday parties, and going to cookouts with her friends, known as “The Girls.” She loved children and took great pride in taking care of children in the community. Mable will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mable was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Brown and Phyllis Borders.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Vanessa Conley and Ashley Conley; four sisters, Rachel Pearson, Priscilla Jackson Holmes (Bryce), Laverne Conley, and Anita Borders; four brothers, Milton Conley (Judy), Carl Conley, Bernard Borders (Stella), and Jonathan Borders (Melv); four grandchildren, Haiven Conley, Madison Conley, Khloe Conley, and Shylah Tolley; an uncle, Guy Jackson (Reba); and aunt, Amanda Courtney (John); and a host of nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
A Homegoing celebration will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Davita Kidney Care; and to the staff at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for the treatment Mable received.
