Mack Cole

Mack A. Cole, age 81, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Morristown-Hamblen Covenant Health Systems.
Mack was a man who never met a stranger and always had a smile and a story to share. He retired as a builder and foreman with J.C. Penney Construction, where his strong work ethic and leadership earned the respect of many. In his retirement, he became the neighborhood's small engine "guru," happiest when repairing mowers and helping his friends and neighbors keep their yards looking their best.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Morristown, Mack loved his church family and especially enjoyed traveling with the "JOY" group-Just Older Youth-where laughter, good food, and fellowship were always on the itinerary. He often drove the church bus on these trips and was known for keeping spirits high with his quick wit and good humor.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deloris Cole; his parents, Ryburn and Lona Thacker Cole; and a sister, Emma Cupp.
Mack is survived by his sons, Chris (fiancé Janine) and Charles Cole; sister, Sue Martin Cole; brothers, Kenny Cole, David Cole, and Eddie Cole; grandchildren, Austin Cole, Riley Cole, Chase Cole, Chloe Cole, Jackson Cole, Jase Cole, Brayden Bolden, Ty Cooper and Jeremiah Holt.
Memorial Service will be 6:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2025, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dean Haun officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM prior to services.
Mack will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and joy for life-a man who loved deeply, gave freely, and brightened every room he entered.
