In Loving Memory of Mackenzie Rose Tessaro
October 21, 2003 – January 7, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, Mackenzie Rose Tessaro, who departed this earth surrounded by her family on January 7, 2025. Mackenzie graced this world with her beautiful spirit on October 21, 2003, and during her too-brief time with us, she brought immeasurable joy, love, and inspiration to all who knew her.
Born with Trisomy 18, Mackenzie's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and love. Thanks to the tireless devotion of her parents, Tara and Jessie Tessaro, Mackenzie lived a full and vibrant life, embracing every moment with a boundless love for the outdoors, a passion for traveling, and a deep appreciation for country music. She was truly a blessing and a light to her family and community.
Mackenzie is survived by her adoring parents, Tara and Jessie, her loving sister Andrea, and her cherished brothers David, Scott, Phillip and Matthew. She was also the proud and doting aunt to seven nieces and nephews: Lilly, Madelyn, Anna, Charlotte, Harrison, Brielle, and Forrest, whose lives she enriched with her gentle and joyful presence.
A devout Catholic, Mackenzie's faith was her anchor, and she carried it with grace and serenity throughout her life. Her unwavering trust in God's plan has left a legacy of hope and strength for those who loved her. While our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of our Lord, free from pain and embraced by eternal love.
Mackenzie's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She reminded us daily of the beauty in simple moments and the power of unconditional love. She will forever be missed and cherished, but her spirit will live on in the laughter of her nieces and nephews, the music she loved, and the memories we hold dear.
A funeral Mass celebrating Mackenzie's life and faith will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church on Monday January 13th, beginning with a vigil at 10:00 AM, Mass at 10:30 AM, with interment to follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations in her honor be made to Best Buddies International, https://www.bestbuddies.org/donate/ or in the tab below.
