Chauvin Funeral Home & Crematory - HoumaMadelene LeBoeuf Cunningham, age 85, a native and resident of Houma, La., passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Madelene is survived by her children, Priscilla Ann Cunningham Boudreaux (Rene) and Robyn Ann Cunningham Rougeau; her grandchildren, Jeremy Rougeau, Heather Rougeau Johnson, Tyler Cunningham, Caleb Boudreaux and Cullen Boudreaux; her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Trea Anthony, Nevaeh, Jacques, Kyleigh, Tyler Jr., Zayne, Paisleigh, Cecilia, Ryleigh and Lizzie.
Madelene is preceded in passing by her husband Bobby Cunningham; her parents, Allen P. “Cock-eye” LeBoeuf and Walterine LeCompte LeBoeuf; her sister, Zeder LeBoeuf Kraemer; and her son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Rougeau.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Madelene on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 15, 2025, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church beginning at 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. Madelene will be laid to rest following her services in St. Francis Cemetery #2.
Madelene was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church where she was a long time choir member. She was an avid lover of Mardi Gras and was in the Krewe of Aphrodite for many years. Madelene was fondly known as “Doubloon Lady.” She loved spending time with her family and shaking those hips on the dance floor.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sisam, the staff at Haydel Family Practice, and the staff of Haydel Hospice, especially her nurse, Danielle Bergeron, for their care and compassion while caring for Ms. Madelene.
