Madelene Michelle Harrison Moody, 53, of Batesville, departed her earthly body surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Batesville. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to William Harrison and Elizabeth Stamey.
Madelene, known by her friends and family as Michelle, graduated from the Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock, where she and her late husband, Daniel, both attended and participated in numerous events and activities. She was an active member of the Batesville Deaf Club.
Michelle was a beautiful person inside and out, known for her ability to make friends easily. She was full of love, always supportive of others, and known for giving the tightest and most intentional hugs. She adored her grandchildren and was affectionately known as a "momma's girl." She enjoyed watching wind chimes sway in the breeze and had a special fondness for animals and bird watching, with hummingbirds being her favorite.
Her heart was always filled with great warmth and care for everyone she knew in her life. She had the most beautiful dimples with her smile and a soul to match. She cherished her friends, family, husband, children, and her faith in God fiercely.
Michelle and her high school sweetheart, Daniel, also known as Danny Moody were married in the summer of 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Lavaca, Arkansas. They enjoyed over eighteen years of marriage until his passing on January 31, 2021. Michelle always took comfort knowing that one day she would be at peace with her husband, experiencing the joy and love of heaven together.
Left to cherish her loving legacy, sons, Patrick (Caryn) Moody and Preston Moody, both of Batesville; her mother, Elizabeth Stamey, of Batesville; her brother, Dustin (Jennifer) Harrison, of Fort Smith; her sister, Tracy (Justin) Kazy, of Van Buren; three grandchildren, Daniel, Maddison, and Hudson; nieces and nephews, Courtney, Nicole, Zoe, Austin, Aleigha, Addison and Ayden, and many dear friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
A celebration of her life will be Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Little Rock, in the Parnell Hall beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Arkansas School for the Deaf in honor of her and her late husband, Danny.
