Dolores A. Windham, 91, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on March 19, 1934, in Montague, Franklin County Massachusetts, to Felix and Bertha Porlier. Her early compassion led her to seek education in nursing. In 1955 she received her Diploma of Nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. Dolores went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Park University in 1979 and a Master's in Education from the University of South Carolina, College of Nursing in1989. She dedicated her life to helping others through roles in both medical care and academia. Outside of her professional life, Dolores found joy in many areas including listening to music, creating through sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafting. She also enjoyed reading and traveling, especially cruising on the ocean. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Francis Eugene Robertson (father of her three daughters) and a husband, Max Windham.
Dolores is survived by her loving three daughters, Paula (Carl) Hill, Jane (Chris) Brown and Gail (Ruben Sendejas) Robertson; a grandson, Mitchell Robertson and many more family and friends.
Dolores loved and cared for many people who called her mom, taxi driver, backstage mom, friend, mentor and confidant.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
Arrangements are under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
