Madeline Jackel Obituary
Madeline graduated from Dominican Commercial High School in Queens, NY. She was an active member of the William Koehler Senior Center in Mahopac and especially enjoyed line dancing with the senior center members at local nursing homes. Madeline was a former volunteer at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, NY.
On May 9, 1964 she married Walter Jackel at St. Sylvester's Church in Brooklyn. In addition to Walter, she is survived by her children, Lisa Jackel (James Wacker), Michael Jackel, Michele DeCola (Richard) and Meredith Rapisarda (Darin) and her 9 beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Gionna, Jillian, Niko, Summer, Sierra, Madison, Jax and Brody.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday, September 18 from 5-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 19 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac with interment to follow at Ballard-Barrett Cemetery, Mahopac Falls, NY.
In lieu of flowers pleas consider a donation in memory of Madeline to the American Cancer Society – Relay For Life – Mahopac.
