Madeline Palazzolo, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. She was 78.

Born on July 13, 1947 in Astoria, NY, Madeline lived a life defined by love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She was married to her beloved husband and soulmate, Joseph Palazzolo, for 52 years, and together they built a home filled with warmth and love. Never apart, they shared a partnership marked by unwavering devotion, and their life together was an example of lasting love.

Madeline was the cherished mother of Andrea, Joseph, and Gerard, and the proud grandmother of Anthony. Her children and grandchild were her greatest joy and the center of her life. She is also survived by her brother James, who was a loving and supportive brother throughout her life.

She spent her career as a nurse, where her natural compassion and kindness touched many lives. Beyond her profession, Madeline will be remembered for her enduring strength, her gift for laughter, and her ability to bring joy to every gathering. She loved being surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories and laughter, and making everyone feel welcome.

Her strength, humor, and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in Astoria, NY on Monday, September 15th at 9:45 am. No wake will be held.

To honor Madeline's memory, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are welcomed in place of flowers.
