Madelyn Renee Ronaldson, age 14, of Manhattan went to be in the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Lurie Children's Hospital, Chicago. She is survived by her parents Jeffrey and Amanda Ronaldson, her maternal grandparents Roger and Terri Toops, maternal great grandmother Mollie Anna Toops, her paternal grandparents Joe and Judy Ronaldson, her brother Aaron (Josie) Ronaldson, two sisters Emma Ronaldson and Mollie Ronaldson, her aunts Missy Dilk, Anna Toops, and Kelly (Eric) Pagnucci, and her cousins Grant, Ava, Jack, Samantha, Ryan, Tanner, Lauryn, Olivia, Caroline, and Clayten. Preceded in death by her uncle Dustin Toops. Madelyn attended Wilson Creek Elementary School, Anna McDonald Grade School, Manhattan Junior High, and Pioneer Grove in Frankfort where she made many friends. She and her sister Mollie also became members of the Manhattan Fire Buddies. Madelyn loved all things Disney especially Frozen, spending time with her siblings and most of all Jesus. Madelyn was a joyful person who lit up the room with her smile, she was kind and gentle, the gift that she was to us we now give back to the one who created her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Madelyn will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2-6:00p.m. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place the following day, Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at Cornerstone Church of LincolnWay, 1501 Gougar Rd, New Lenox, IL. Madelyn will lie-in-state from 10:00a.m. until the time of her service. Madelyn will be interred at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, Holton Indiana on December 26, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miracles for Mollie and Madelyn Foundation. To make a donation, you can send to this email address [email protected] through your Zelle account.
