Madelyn Elayne Tedrow, 79, of Oakland, MD, passed away on March 4, 2025, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Born on September 12, 1945, in Henderson, NV, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Evelyn (McCain) Launer.
Madelyn was raised in Quartz Hill, CA, and grew up with horses, but did not like to ride them. She enjoyed her cats and dogs throughout the years but her most special dog is named Lola. She will be remembered for her love of laughter and the amusement she got out of pranking people. She enjoyed camping, hiking, drawing, Yahtzee, and puzzles but her most precious time spent was with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Carol Marstiller, Rebecca Freshwater and husband Frank, Robert Tedrow and wife Ali, Bruce Brown, Brenda Adams, Laurie Brown, Jeanette Kulcsar and husband Mike, Catherine Donovan and husband Terry, John Tedrow and wife Denise; grandchildren, Jessica Marstiller, Jason Marstiller, Christina Knight and husband Matt, John Michael, Matthew Freshwater, Misty Freshwater, Mark Freshwater, James Freshwater, Karen Freshwater, Andrew Tedrow, Ashton Tedrow, Kelly Schaal, Steven Schaal and wife Sarah, Ashley Dahl and husband Don, Kurt Brown and wife April, Bruce Brown Jr. and wife Kayla, Riley Brown, Jennifer Adams, Krystal Hendrix, Perry Adams and wife Stephanie, Timothy Stewart and wife Ashley, Michael Stewart and wife Kristen, Jasmine Snyder and husband Steve, Alexis Lapp and husband Jesse, Caleb Kulcsar, Audrianna Kulcsar, Britany Dittmer and husband Garrett, Bradley D'Jncau and husband Dannen, Nicole Maria, Brianna Maria; 55 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Michael Louis Launer and wife Stacy of Bakersfield, CA, and Loretta Launer Parsons and husband Randull of Palmdale, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Tedrow, two daughters, Diane Schaal and Kimberly Tedrow; a grandchild Paige Alexandria Kulcsar; a sister, Marilyn Louise Hosier; and a son in law Perry Adams and John Marstiller. Grand daughter in law Trisha Marstiller.
Madelyn's wishes to be cremated will be honored and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
