Madge Elizabeth Smith of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away peacefully January 4, 2026 at the age of 89.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Louis Smith. She is survived by four children: Grant and (Joy) Smith, Barry and Phylis Smith, Jane and Troy Snyder, Mark and Donna Smith. Twelve Grandchildren: Heather and Seth Rogers, Stacy Smith, Brad Snyder, Parker and Kaitlyn Smith, Josh Smith, Alicia and Brandon Guinn, Jerod Smith, Bethany and Craig Waters, Phillip and Carlee Snyder, Molly and Derek St. John, Isaac Smith and Kate Williams, Benjamin and Hannah Smith. Thirteen Great Grandchildren: Aaron Rogers, Aubrey Guinn, Olivia Rogers, Alexis Guinn, Isabella Smith, Sarai Guinn, Zoe Guinn, Hudson Snyder, Bryson Snyder, Chapel Waters, Reese Smith, Finn StJohn and Lydia Green.

Elizabeth was a member of the Rhea church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to all of her family. She loved playing with the grand babies, her many flowers, cooking a good meal and providing for not only her family but so many others throughout the years. She will be forever remembered as Granny Smith!

Visitation is Monday, January 12, 2026 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with services following at 2:00 P.M. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Scott Wilson and Jason McElhaney officiating. Interment to follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Peggy Fowler, her caregivers and all the nurses that took special care of our mother.
