Madonna "Donna" Faget

Madonna Marie Faget (née Engelking), lovingly known as "Donna" 69, of Crest Hill, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 26, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Donna's warmth and spirit touched all who had the privilege to know her.
Born on August 15, 1956, Donna's life was one of generosity, love, and creativity. She shared 49 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Stephan Faget Sr. Together they built a joyful home filled with laughter and family. Their delicious meals became cherished memories for those who joined them. Donna was the proud mother of her children, Desiree (Mike) Phillips and Stephan (Alana) Faget Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to Andrew, Chase, and Savannah, as well as a dear sister to Leon (Teri) Engelking. Her siblings-in-law include Don (the late LaVerne) Murphy and Linda (the late Dennis) Engelking. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Antoinette Engelking.
Professionally, her dedicated service, contagious smile, and unwavering kindness earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. After her retirement in December 2024, she looked forward to a new world of adventures, particularly by joining local clubs and games and getting involved in her local community.
Donna's talents were endless. Her thoughtfully made crafts were always personalized gifts that carried a piece of her heart. Known for her hugs, wonderful cooking, and the way she could turn any gathering into something special. Donna brought comfort and joy wherever she went. She loved to travel, organizing trips with extended family that were filled with laughter, togetherness, and love.
Donna made everyone she encountered feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her legacy of generosity, creativity, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, in accordance with her wishes.
