Maggie Eldridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roy W. Barber Funeral Home on Mar. 12, 2026.
Maggie was born to Thomas and Hazel Houseright on October 27, 1944, in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. She passed away at Montgomery Village Nursing Home on March 8th, 2026. She leaves behind her loving husband, Carl Eldridge of Gaithersburg, MD and her sister, Jan Caputo of Glenelg, MD. Her beloved son, Dennis Radford passed away when he was thirty-five years old. She also was the "sassy" Aunt to many nieces and nephews who have fond memories of her.

Maggie's accomplishes are left behind due to her very big heart. She truly could light up a room. She always stopped to ask a needy person if she could pray for them and she never met a "stranger". She rescued any and every stray cat and went without herself to feed a hungry animal. She was an outdoors person, loved fishing and had all the secrets to catch them.

Maggie had a strong faith. She loved the Lord above all else. We strive to be where she is now when we've finished our own race. This is not good-bye Maggie; it is rather, "until we meet again".

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1pm at Laytonsville Cemetery, 21720 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882.
