Maggie Pearl Saunders Winstead, 68, passed away on Tuesday, December 26. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29 at 6:30 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 30 at 2:00 pm at the Whitley Family Cemetery on Hwy 111 in Stantonsburg. Reverend Matthew Tondee will officiate.
Family will receive friends on Friday, December 29 from 5:00 pm until 6:15 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home.
Maggie is survived by her daughter, Angela Nicole Winstead; granddaughter, Mia Velez; grandson, Brayden Winstead; granddaughter, Paris Blanchard; brother, Wayne Saunders and wife, Margaret; sister-in-law, Debbie Saunders; niece, Christy Lynn Woodard; nephews, Tommy Saunders and Barry Saunders; nieces, Reba Etheridge, Lynn Taylor, and Connie Ingram; nephew, Johnnie “Red Bone” Winstead; special friend and bonus granddaughter, Alicia Gomez; and many special friends.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Green Saunders and Ida Pearl Bass Saunders; and her brother, William Thomas Saunders.
