Mahendra Parsotam Kalyan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Mahendra Parsotam Kalyan of Suwanee, GA. Beloved husband of Indira Kalyan, devoted father to Ajay and Atish, cherished father-in-law to Leigh Ann and Zyanya, and loving grandfather to Rem and Ravi. He leaves behind his eldest sister Premilla, his brother Bupendra, his youngest sister Koosum, and his nephew Rakesh and his family Nimisha, Zehaan & Amaira. Mahendra has been an anchor for his family, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love to his siblings and extended family throughout his life. Mahendra peacefully passed away on Monday, 22nd September 2025, at the age of 71.

Mahendra arrived in the United States from South Africa in 1997, where he worked tirelessly to establish a successful life and home for his family. Through his dedication, resilience, and love, he created a foundation of opportunity and warmth that will continue to benefit generations to come.

He was a pillar of strength and kindness to his family and friends, remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for those around him. Mahendra was a jovial, fun-loving man with a quick wit and smart sense of humor.

Recently retired, Mahendra had a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in accounting, finance, and IT. He served in several leadership positions at State Street Global Services, where he was respected for his dedication, mentorship and professionalism throughout his career.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mahendra was deeply committed to serving his community. He was an active member of the Atlanta chapter of Shiv Yog, where he devoted himself to selfless service (Nishkaam Seva), meditation, and spreading positivity. Through weekly gatherings and philanthropic projects, he helped foster a supportive and uplifting environment for fellow members and contributed to the well-being of his community. His devotion to Shiv Yog and its values of compassion, collective meditation, and service touched many lives and inspired others to pursue personal growth and community betterment.

He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and dedication to his loved ones. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
