Mailee Xiong Hang
Born into Eternal Life - Sunday, October 26, 2025
Age 50
With hearts broken and spirits heavy, we announce the sudden passing of Mailee Xiong Hang on October 26, 2025. Mailee's life was defined by devotion: to her husband, her children, her siblings, many friends whose lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and endless care, and most importantly, her devotion to God.
Mailee was a tender guardian, tireless provider, and a fiery spirit. As the loving wife of 28 years to Vang Tou Hang, and a dedicated mother to Sean, Jasmine, Kaitlyn, and Kevin Hang, she held her family close like a mother bird that shelters her young; protective, gentle, fiercely loyal, and at times, afraid to push them out of the nest. She balanced full-time work, college, and fulfilled her motherhood by always making sure her children had a warm home, plenty of clothes, proper health care, supple food, and the guidance her children needed in order to pursue higher education and build futures she could be proud of. Her love was very real, raw, and unbelievably infinite.
One of the best things about Mailee was that her compassion extended much beyond her own home. Mailee opened her heart and her home to her siblings and friends when they needed support, working quietly and diligently so that those she loved could thrive with little to no stress. Born in Laos, Mailee survived the Secret War and the Vietnam War, carrying resilience and a deep appreciation for family and safety into every choice she made. She attended High School in Akron, Ohio, where she also met her husband, Vang Tou Hang, at a Hmong New Year event several times before accepting his offer for marriage and then moving together to live in Detroit, Michigan to start their family.
Mailee later moved to Cedarburg, Wisconsin and meticulously worked towards earning a degree from DeVry University. Mailee built a respected career as a pillar of medical coding and physician auditing with Aurora Health Care and became a greatly adored member of the Ozaukee community after the family settled there in 2009.
Mailee is the cherished daughter of Der Vang and Vang Shoua Xiong, beloved sister to Doua Xiong, Vang Xiong, Cheng Xiong, Thai Tou Xiong, Kay Yang, Hlee Xiong, Vanida Xiong, and Cheng Xiong, and daughter-in-law of Neng Vang and Cher Pao Hang. Mailee's life was shared with an overflowing number of people who will forever remember her grandiose confidence, her unwavering bravery to stand up to anything that threatened her family and friends, her desire to push everyone around her to be better, her superhuman ability to love so strongly, and her spirit of fire that will continue to burn so brightly in God's Kingdom. It was only a few years ago when Mailee welcomed God into her life and graciously accepted Him. This was the moment when Mailee finally started to discover the truth, which allowed her to give her pain away by asking our Heavenly Father to guide her swiftly.
As a result of this enactment, she has also paved the way for many new devoted followers in the name of God. Heavenly Father, we ask for your mercy and grace for Mailee Hang as they pass from this life into eternity. Please bring them into your loving arms and grant them peace and rest. We ask that she always be remembered as a saint, a faithful servant of God, a loving mother, a cherished daughter and sister, and a fiery, yet kind soul among her friends.
Mailee is survived by her husband, Vang, and children, Sean, Jasmine, Kaitlyn, Kevin and daughter-in-law Emily.
