Ronald Carlson Obituary

Ronald "Ron" J. Carlson, 82, a respected business owner, devoted husband, and beloved father and grandfather, was born to eternal life on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Born on May 13, 1943, to the late Myron and Margaret (née Hoerl) Carlson, Ron's life was marked by hard work, humor, and an unwavering love for the people around him.
He was a proud graduate of Wauwatosa East High School, Class of 1962 and met the love of his life, Linda L. (née Esterline) Carlson, in September 1973. They were married on May 10, 1975, at Wellington Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI, and shared 50 ½ incredible years together.
Ron was known for his sharp eye for detail, his quick wit, and his uncanny ability to fix just about anything. His lifelong passion for cars began as a young man and continued through his involvement in his Miata car club, where he found both friendship and joy in every adventure behind the wheel. He was an incredible cook, a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, and a man who could turn any story into a lesson worth remembering (even if it was a tall tale). His love for history and travel was brought to life through many adventures in the US and abroad.
Above all, Ron had a gift for connection. He made everyone in his presence feel seen, welcome, and valued, most often with a perfectly timed dad joke or a heartfelt conversation. His generous spirit left an imprint on all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Linda; his cherished daughters Tiffany S. Carlson of Waunakee, WI, and Stephanie (née Carlson) Freiboth and her husband Robert Freiboth of Pewaukee, WI; and his adored grandchildren Bryn Scullion, Evelyn Freiboth, and Connor Freiboth. He is further survived by his sisters Susan (née Carlson) Fromm, Judy Carlson, and Janet (née Carlson) Grimm and her husband David Grimm; his dearest friends Tom and Marla Borth, Suzanne Hambel, and Godfather to Michael Hambel; as well as many nieces and nephews who brought him great joy.
"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." – Psalm 73:26
