Chia Hang
February 15, 1935 - September 5, 2024
Chia, age 89, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024, after living a full life marked by dedication to family, church, and community.
Born on February 15, 1935, in Laos, Chia was the cherished daughter of Vaaj Xuv Tsaab and Zuag Haam. She grew up alongside her beloved siblings: Thaj Zeb, Vaaj Fwm, Suav, and Mim Tsaab. In 1950, she married Ntsuab Yag Haam, and together they welcomed eight wonderful children into the world: Paaj, Maiv Huas, Sua, Xwm Yeem, Ntxawm, Nyaj Kub, Ntxawg, and Denna. Chia was also a proud grandmother to 22 lovely grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. Sadly, her husband, Ntsuab Yag Haam, went to be with the Lord in 2018, leaving a legacy of love and devotion.
In 1975, Chia and her family faced the challenges of becoming refugees in Thailand, and in 1979, they made a new home in the United States. Throughout her life, Chia supported her husband as a dedicated farm worker. She was a loving and hard-working mother, always putting her family's needs above her own. No matter the difficulties they faced, Chia was determined to provide her children with the resources they needed to thrive.
Chia was a woman of unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus. Her journey of faith began in 1976, when she came to Christ, and it remained a guiding light throughout her life. She touched the hearts of many with her kindness, resilience, and deep love for her family and community.
Chia leaves behind 7 beloved children, 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren who all loved her dearly
Chia will be fondly remembered for her strong spirit, loving nature, and the countless lives she impacted. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, faith, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
