Malachi Lynwood Mejia Townsend, age 18 of Lenoir, NC, passed away April 11, 2023. He was born August 19, 2004 in Lenoir, NC to Patricia Townsend.
Malachi was always smiling and loved everyone. He enjoyed playing Fortnite, Legos and motorcycles.
Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Patricia Townsend; Mom (Nana), Connie Lainez; Poppy, Pablo Lainez; Unlce who was like his Dad, Jeremiah Hendrix; Sisters, Taletha Messer, Mercedes Paz, Autumn Hendrix; Brothers, Samuel "Clint" Messer, Jeremiah Hendrix, Greyson Hendrix, Tanner Hendrix; Aunts, Crystal Hendrix, Caroline Sneed; Uncles, Caleb Harshaw, John Hendrix (Audrey), Charles Townsend, William Coffey, Chris Sneed; Cousins, Ricky Murillo, Daisy Murillo, Jah'Noah Harshaw, Jade Townsend, Thomas Townsend, Layden Hendrix, Joe Joe Mclerath, Natalie Hendrix, Brandy Hendrix; Grandpa, Grover Townsend (Patricia); Great Grandpa, Charles Coffey (Phyllis); Great Great Grandma, Dorothy Hendrix; Special Cousin, Connie Hendrix; Special Friends, Bebo Marin, Riley Parkhurst; two nieces/nephews on the way; several other extended family and special friends.
An open visitation/viewing will be held at the home (6070 Laytown Road, Lenoir, NC 28645) on Friday evening, April 14, 2023. The graveside service and burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Laytown Baptist Church Cemetery with Wayne White officiating.
