Malinda Sidebottom

Malinda Sidebottom (Mindy), 54, of Paola, passed away on March 19, 2024 at Miami County Medical Center.
She was born on February 28, 1970 to Ronald and Mary (Crispell) Sharp in Des Moines, IA.
Mindy worked for several years in the dental field as a hygienist and then a surgical technician before transitioning into the caregiving profession, where she was able to invest her energy and her heart into others.
Mindy has called Overland Park and Olathe home since she moved here as a teenager. Her Marriage to Mike Fitts of Olathe, KS produced 3 treasured children.
On August 23, 2013 she married Scott Sidebottom. Mindy and Scott lived in Overland Park, KS most of their marriage, until a recent move to Paola, KS.
She was attending Crosspoint Church in Paola, and she was a member of the Sons and Daughters of the Revolution.
She is survived by her loving husband Scott, her children:
Jordan Fitts of Paola, KS, Jacob Fitts of Kansas City, KS, Jackson Fitts of Olathe, KS, Sophie Sidebottom, Osceola, MO, Elijah Sidebottom, Hollister, MO.
Four Grandchildren: Ryder, Lillyana, and Gracelyn Copeland and Viviana Fitts.
Her sisters Joyce Allensworth,Katy and Marcy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Samantha Siwek, and her nephews Cody and Justin Siwek.
Visitation will be held Tuesday March 26 from 6pm to 8pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 14275 S Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS 66062.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 27 at 10 AM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with pastor Andy Parks officiating.
