Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harris Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 19, 2025.
Mallory Kiersten Julia Kidd, 13, of
Madisonville, Kentucky, was born on April 9, 2012, and passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. She went home to be with the Lord far too soon. Born in
Madisonville, KY, Mallory was the beloved daughter of Charles James Kidd and Kayla Evelyn Calbreath Kidd.
Mallory was a beautiful soul whose light was evident to everyone who knew her. She lived passionately, loving deeply everything she set her heart on. A proud 8th grader at James Madison Middle School, Mallory was an enthusiastic cheerleader whose smile and spirit lifted those around her. She had a special love for church, a sincere love for Jesus, and a heart that overflowed through worship and song. Singing was one of her greatest joys, and it was clear that her praise came straight from her heart.
Mallory had a gift for friendship. Her heart was big, kind, and welcoming, always willing to make new friends and include others. She was blessed with a built-in best friend, her sister Marissa. They did life side by side, cheered on the same cheer squad, and went everywhere together. They were truly a package deal. Her laughter, compassion, and genuine love will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
Mallory is preceded in death by her grandparents on her father's side, Russell Kidd and Julia Kidd; her grandfather on her mother's side, Dereck Calbreath; as well as several great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her loving parents, Charles Kidd and Kayla Kidd, of
Madisonville, KY; her sister, Marissa Kidd, of
Madisonville, KY; grandmother, Vonda Calbreath, of
Madisonville, KY; uncles, Paul McGregor and Damien Calbreath, of
Madisonville, KY; aunt, Elecia (Joe) Bowman; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Basham officiating. Burial to follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.
Visitation will be from 11:30 am until the funeral hour on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Williams, Zayden McKenney, Paul McGregor, Dale Brasher, Joe Bowman, Dustin Rutherford, and Thomas Lutz.
Mallory's favorite color was purple, and in her honor, the family invites those attending to wear purple or fill the room with purple as a beautiful expression of love for her.
Though this world feels darker without her, Mallory's light has not gone out. It lives on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the faith she carried so beautifully. Heaven gained a precious angel, and her memory will forever be held close in the hearts of those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family kindly ask that memorial contributions be made to Harris Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses.
